A couple of years ago I had a very nasty fungal nail infection and it looked really bad and I didn’t want people to know about it. It made me very embarrassed about my feet and I just hid them away from people. I eventually went to the doctor and he prescribed some Terbinafine tablets. I didn’t know at the time but those tablets had a bad effect on my liver. They made me very ill and after my doctor sent me for a liver function test I was told to stop taking the tablets immediately.
At that point I had been taking the medication for 6 weeks and the fungal nail infection was as bad as ever. My doctor had not given me any advice on prevention, on hygiene, on alternative treatments or anything other than to simply prescribe the same tablets he probably prescribed to everyone else. Like many people I started looking for solutions on the internet. Some of the “solutions” I found were very expensive and some of them smelled of “Scam”.
